Havna Bad

Traditional bathing culture by the sea — coming summer 2026

The Bath House

A timeless bathing experience

The Bath House at Havna Hotel & Sjøbad is a tribute to the traditional Scandinavian bathing culture. Here, heat and cold, tranquility and nature meet, in a ritual that has been practiced for generations along the Norwegian coast.

The seaside location gives the bath house a unique experience where you can alternate between a warm sauna, a refreshing swim in the sea and quiet relaxation with a view of the archipelago.

Baths for the body and soul

The bathhouse is equipped with everything you need for a complete bathing experience. From a steamy sauna to an ice-cold bath — strengthen your body with energizing results.

Pool

The heated plunge pool of 35 square meters is located inside the bathhouse and can be enjoyed all year round. Towel racks and bathrobes are available.

Sauna

Traditional sauna maintained between 70 and 95 degrees. Pour water on the stove and inhale the soft steam with the aroma of pure herbs from the garden.

Sea bath

Walk down the steps leading to the sea for a refreshing sea bath. The bathing ladder on the dock and the shallow beach make it easy to get into the water — all year round.

Sun terrace

A handful of sun loungers give you the opportunity to warm up and get some well-deserved vitamin D. The terrace is open during the summer months.

Bar

Get refreshments at the bathhouse's own bar. Enjoy delicious and healthy juices, or a cooling drink in the heat. Sit back and treat yourself to a refill of comfort.

Shower room

Rinse off the chlorine and salt water in your private shower room. Use the shower as a transition between the bathing options, or get ready to pull on your bathrobe to go rest back inside the hotel.

Relaxation lounge

After your bath, comfortable recliners, warm blankets and a view of the sea await. Here you can just be, with a cup of tea in hand. The fireplace is lit during the winter months.

The Experience

Hot and cold

The essence of the bathing ritual is the contrast between hot and cold. Start in the sauna, let the heat warm your body, then step out into the refreshing seawater.

Repeat the cycle two to three times for optimal effect. You will feel your blood circulation increase, tension release and a deep calm fill your body and mind.

Our hosts are happy to help guide you through the experience if you are new to the sauna culture.
